GRANULATED LIME is proven to neutralise soil acidity. It is for all crops including grassland, cereals, fruit and oilseed rape.
Made from fine limestone flour combined with a water-soluble organic binder, Califert consists of hard granules of between 2 and 5mm in diameter, and is produced in the UK from limestone mined in the Peak District thus saving on miles travelled.
CALCIFERT is approved by the Soil Association standards for non-organic raw materials for use in organic farming.
The benefits of liming include: the lowering of toxic levels of aluminium and manganese; overcoming the potential for calcium or magnesium deficiencies, improves soil structures; improved animal health – more appropriate nutrient profile in the forage.
CALCIFERT can be applied using fertiliser spreaders rather than using lime contractors for bulk lime, and can be used at any time of the year. Ideal for spot treating problem areas with small amounts and can be stored with ease.
Can you afford not to lime? The price of inorganic fertilisers across the world today, mean that their efficient utilisation is a must. At an environmental level it helps maintain the structure of the soils in cultivation and reduce their degradation through acidification and erosion. It also helps REDUCE the amount of fertilisers required due to the improved efficiency of utilisation.
CALCIFERT has a calcium carbonate of approximately 98%. Recent independent laboratory analysis (5th to 26th November 2010) showed G-Lime (Acheson & Glover) as having a TNV of 91.29% and a reactivity of 24.67%. In comparison, CALCIFERT had a TNV of 98.44% and a reactivity of 52.66%; CALCIFERT had twice the reactivity.
